Our years of experience in both education and coaching allows us to offer after School Physical Activity Clubs, Active Play Before School, Breaktime and Lunchtime, Physical Activity and Gross Motor Skills Interventions leading to a healthy lifestyle & better wellbeing.
Our team are available to support schools to increase engagement in physical activity and school sport by delivering ‘enrichment’ programmes , after-school clubs as well as mentoring for individual pupils. Check out our brochure below for more details.
The idea of the PE based 'enrichment' programme is to provide classes or a targeted smaller groups of children sessions to promote an enjoyment of being active. As well as popular sports like football, basketball and dodgeball we can offer new experiences by delivering sports and games such as Kickball or Pickleball. The aim of these sessions is to give children the opportunity to play and enjoy a new sport that perhaps is not on the curriculum in a more games based, inclusive environment, focusing more on enjoyment. It has been a great way of engaging less active children as well as enriching children with SEND.
The programme is suitable for children both in mainstream and special schools.
"So many members of staff have said how much the children are enjoying their (enrichment) sessions with quite a few reluctant players now reported to be joining in, whereas before they would hate these types of sessions. A great success."
- Assistant Headteacher, Whitstable Junior School
"Really pleased with how things are going, Woody is fantastic and getting fantastic feedback from both pupils and teachers, great job."
- EYFS and Primary P.E Lead, Laleham Gap Special School
Our mentoring programme is designed to support children that may be challenging to engage in class and struggling to make academic progress. A member of our team acts as role model, building relationships with the children they work with and use the power of sport and physical activity to incentivises children to engage in core learning. The programme is tailored to specific individual targets which can be in conjunction with school interventions and are usually more social, emotional targets to help them with their learning rather than skill based.
This support can take place on a 1:1 basis, but also can involve supporting children in class or at break/lunchtimes.
"We are very much looking forward to carrying this on next term and are seeing the positive impact on the children and the school."
- Head of school, Parkside
"When you work in an SEN setting and have people in, sometimes you never know what to predict. However, I cannot sing Inclusive Sport’s coaches praises enough. What an incredible session they led for our students. Both got to know the pupils names which added the personal touch, such a basic thing yet goes a long way in this setting. Then playing and adapting games to their abilities and pace. Both of them also created such a supportive atmosphere for pupils and had a joke and a laugh with them too which they loved. They both just had great character which enabled the pupils to learn and have fun."
